[Anime Review] Mai-Mai Miracle

While Mai-Mai Miracle falls slightly short with its overall story, its introspective into that which is pure childlike fantasy versus the harsh reality of life among other of its thematic devices is where it shines the most.

PES: Peace Eco Smile Set Coming Soon…

The month of May will soon be upon us and with it, some more anime goodies. One in particular is a ONA by the name of “PES” Peace Eco Smile, arriving May 1st. Special thanks goes to Ben Lee for filling me in on some more minuet details of the series. This one will be collaboration between Studio 4°C and Toyota much akin what Hōkago no Pleiades was combining Gainax and Subaru. Pleiades was not too bad of a short series (mostly criticized due to it being a Madoka copy of sorts), so I can only wonder what this will be like. I will be doing an impression on it like always, so hope you look forward to. By the way, Is anyone else noticing that car companies are becoming more anime involved? (Nissan = Rinne no lagrane, Pleides = Subaru, PES = Toyata)

Side Note: Will be back on my normal writing schedule this weekend with my impressions, editorials, and checking out my fellow bloggers, etc. I blame school…

[1st Impression] Dusk Maiden of Amnesia: Episode 1

Finally got my copy of Sora no Kiseki The Animation and must say that it did not betray my exception as much as I thought it would. Here is a little short overview of what the first volume 1 is all about.

Note: This is a spoiler-free impression for those that have not played the game or watched this yet…

Little Busters Anime Confirmed

After checking infodocket late last night, to my surprise I found that Little Busters is due for anime series. Today, that news has been confirmed as it was part of Dengeki Bunko‘s web program. Supposedly, their was also a commercial to go along with this release.

Well, looks like my wish (and probably a million of others) is now a reality. For those not in the know, Little Busters is Project Key’s sixth visual novel that has received various acclaim as well as remakes, including a port for PSP Vita that was released last week. Their also has been a fan translation released for the visual novel.
